FREE groom (includes paw hair trim and nails*)

Trimming of paw hair and nails ONLY if your pet is used to it and takes to me.

It will only make your pet's phobia worse if you take them to another strange place and strange person to have it done. If they are scared, then they need someone that they can trust, to work with them on a regular basis.

ADVICE -

For advice on how to combat issues like this, please ask your vet or another animal professional.

All I can suggest other than that is to stroke and play with your dogs paws on a regular basis while your cuddling watching tv or something, making sure to give them plenty of treats and praise, while keeping the situation nice and calm at all times. They will soon get used to their feet being handled.

Please note that just because they let you do it, doesn't mean that they will then be ok to go to the groomer. If progress is slow and no-one can get near, I recommend trimming your pets claws yourself (who ever the person is who has been handling their feet). If you don't like the idea of trimming them, use a Dremel drill bit (the one I use....) to sand them down. The claws won't split and you won't get the risk of cutting the quick, which would cause bleeding and pain/discomfort.

I hope that helps. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
